SRECs: A Buyer's Market

I just accepted an offer from my SREC broker and sold my current SREC holdings (four of them) for $125 each.  The transaction happened instantaneously when I accepted the deal.  I don't blame my broker, the market is what it is, but this made me feel like a sucker, somehow.

The SREC market is definitely the property of the buyers right now...

On Friday a news report came out saying that, any day now, NJ state sen. Bob Smith intended to introduce legislation to improve the SREC market. Such legislation is why SRECs were almost at $300 in December, so SRECs have definitely gone up since a week ago. The question is what will be in this bill...

SREC Saga - Some states have their act together - DC, MASS and MD, and prices are actually holding steady. Some states don't care WVA, NY and VA. And other states are so oversupplied and will be for years - NJ and PA, and the prices will continue to fall. Not sure what the answer is - but we will all eagerly await the outcome of pending legislation and the free market.
